Withrow Named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week

IRVING, Texas- Conference USA awarded Marshall goalkeeper Daniel Withrow with C-USA Defensive Player of the Week honors after the senior helped lead the Thundering Herd men's soccer team to a 2-0 shutout win over the Wright State Raiders last Friday in Charleston.

The senior from Rochester Hills, Mich., recorded five saves on the evening, including three in the closing half as Wright State continued to push numbers forward. Withrow entered the season as the C-USA Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and was named First-Team All-C-USA last season. He is third all-time in the Marshall record books for career shutouts with 13.
