HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-Marshall head swimming/diving coach Bill Tramel has announced that Chloé Parsemain will be joining the Thundering Herd program in the fall.
Parsemain, a native of Fos sur Mer, France, is ranked 34th nationally in the 100 Fly, where she sports a top time of 1:05.02 (long course meters). She also has top times of 27.28 and 59.07 in the 50 and 100 Free events (short course meters), respectively.
"We are excited to add Chloé to our team this fall," said Tramel. "She will be one of our top sprinters and will bolster our relays. Perhaps her best event is the 100 Fly. Looking forward, we will graduate three of our top four Butterfliers in May, so it's nice to have that issue partially addressed now."
Parsemain is a member of the Sport Natation Swim Club and is coached by Laurent Gerbeau.
"I'm really excited about our first recruiting class here at Marshall," Tramel said. "We have brought in swimmers from well-known, traditional powers in USA Swimming. We added two divers and with Chloé, we continue to supplement our roster with top caliber international student-athletes."
"This class is just the first step. We have overwhelming interest for the 2014 recruiting class. It's an exciting time for Marshall Swimming & Diving. We are going to get really good, really fast, and the next couple years are going to be fun."
