HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall men's golf will compete at 10 tournaments over the 2014-15 campaign, coach Matt Grobe announced Tuesday.
The Herd will open the fall season with the 45th annual Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational at Guyan Golf and Country Club in Huntington (Sept. 8-9). Marshall will then head to Lorton, Va., to George Mason's Patriot Intercollegiate (Sept. 28-29). Next, the Herd will play for the sixth consecutive year at Cincinnati's Bearcat Invitational (Oct. 6-7) before traveling to Powells Point, N.C. for the ODU/Outerbanks Intercollegiate, hosted by Old Dominion. The team will finish its fall schedule at Western Carolina's Hummingbird Intercollegiate (Nov. 3-4).
Marshall's spring slate begins with the Davidson Invitational (March 2-3), Pinehurst Intercollegiate (March 13-15) and Furman Intercollegiate (March 27-29). The Herd will conclude its regular season by co-hosting the second annual Greenbrier Intercollegiate with Bowling Green State University at the Old White TPC in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va. Marshall won the inaugural event on April 15, 2014, finishing first among seven teams. Rising junior Logan Lagodich (Canton, Ohio) placed second in the individual field.
The Conference USA Championship will be held April 26-29 in Texarkana, Ark.
