HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall will tee off at the 2016 Conference USA Men's Golf Championship at Texarkana Country Club in Texarkana, Ark., starting Sunday.

HAVE YOU HERD?
Junior Will Evans (Charleston, W.Va.) placed ninth to lead Marshall at the third annual Greenbrier Collegiate Invitational at The Old White TPC on April 12. Evans shot a 2-over-par 72 on the final 18 holes to total 4-over 214 for the tournament, tying for ninth place with five other golfers. It was his second top 10 finish of the season after carding a runner-up spot at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational on Sept. 15, 2015. The Herd finished fifth with its best 54-hole score of the spring season, 870.

Participating teams (13): No. 37 UAB, No. 60 North Texas, No. 76 Charlotte, No. 87 UTEP, No. 92 UTSA, Rice, WKU, Old Dominion, Middle Tennessee, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Florida Atlantic, Southern Miss.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The championship consists of 54 holes of stroke play over three days, April 24-26. Following the results of stroke play, the top four teams will advance to a seeded match play round to be held on Wednesday, April 27. The team champion after match play will receive C-USA's automatic berth to the NCAA Regionals. Conference USA became the first league to include match play, which reflects the NCAA format, when it introduced this structure for its tournament last season.
