The Thundering Herd came out of the break strong, as it started the third set on a five-point run. The Herd pushed its lead to 7-2, but Bowling Green began to rally. The Falcons brought the set within one off a bad set by Cole at 9-8. Only leading by one, Marshall never surrendered the lead and gained distance from the surging Falcons. Quotes by head coach Mitch Jacobs

On the team's play in the middleââ'¬Â¦
"We definitely controlled the middle of the net tonight. I was very impressed the way our ball control gave us a lot of opportunities to run our middles. 'Kiko' and Madison were really working to get opportunities and our setters did a great job finding them."

On the team's outside hitters getting one on one swingsââ'¬Â¦
"Once we established the middle we were able to have some success at the pins. It's hard when you're an outside and only see out of system balls. So it was great to see us go outside in system at times and let them get some one on one swings."

Looking aheadââ'¬Â¦
"Fun night, great that it went our way. That's a really good team we just swept so now it's our challenge to regroup and focus for Friday."
