Men’s Golf Prepares for Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational

Event to be played at Pete Dye Golf Club

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. – The Marshall men's golf team is back in action at the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational, Oct. 8-9, at the Pete Dye Golf Club. The teams get rolling with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m., Monday.
The event is three rounds, with the first 36 holes played continuously on Monday. Tee times will be scheduled for the final round on Tuesday.

Playing for the Herd in Bridgeport will be redshirt senior Thomas Frazier, redshirt sophomore Matt Hoffman, freshman Kyle Mitchell, redshirt sophomore Cameron Root, junior Cole Moore and redshirt junior Ben Roeder will be playing as an individual.
Former Herd standout Alex Weiss won the Health Plan Mountaineer Invitational in 2017 with an 8-under 208.
Along with Marshall the other teams competing will be the host school West Virginia University, Rutgers, James Madison, Akron, Boston College, Seton Hall, Bowling Green, Winthrop, Davidson, St. John's, Eastern Kentucky, Ohio and Georgetown.
The Pete Dye Golf Club is a par-72, 7,308-yard course.
