Marketing and Fan Engagement Intern Application
Position Summary
The Marketing & Fan Engagement Intern serves as an essential member of the Marshall Athletics external team and assists with the execution of game day operations, fan engagement initiatives, promotions, and special events. This position is designed for students looking to gain hands-on experience in collegiate athletics, sports marketing, live event operations, and fan experience. Interns will work closely with full-time staff and senior student leaders to help create an energetic, memorable, and professional environment for fans attending Marshall Athletics events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist with setup and tear down for athletic events
- Execute in-game promotions and giveaway distribution
- Fan assistance and customer service at events
- Work in various game day production roles (video board, music, fan cam, etc.)
- Support student section initiatives and theme nights
- Assist with special events and community outreach opportunities
- Help maintain organization of marketing and promotional materials
- Support game day entertainment and atmosphere initiatives
- Assist with on-campus marketing and office duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current Marshall University Student
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required by athletic schedules
- Interest in sports marketing, event management, communications, or athletics preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Time Commitment
- Required attendance at assigned athletic events
- Weekly office hours may be assigned depending on department needs
