Andy Zulauf
- Induction:
- 1994
- Class:
- 1985
When Andy Zulauf showed up at Marshall University in the third season of the men’s soccer program’s existence (1981), he began rewriting the school’s record book nearly from Day 1. Zulauf’s impact was immediate after arriving in Huntington from Lexington, Ky., as he helped the Thundering Herd to a 13-6 record as a freshman, including a 5-2 mark in Southern Conference play, and received first-team All-Southern Conference honors for his efforts. That freshman season, Zulauf scored 12 goals, establishing a mark that would stand atop the school chart until 1997. Zulauf also received first team all-league recognition as a senior, and by the time his career was complete he had scored 39 goals, 105 points, and set the still-standing record of 27 assists, helping Marshall to a combined 45-29-1 record during his time with the Herd. Zulauf was inducted into the Marshall Athletic Hall of Fame in 1994.
