In her four seasons as a member of the Marshall softball team, Nichole Corrigan helped the Thundering Herd reach heights that it had never before attained. The Corona, Calif., native was recognized by the Mid-American Conference with all-league honors in 2000 and then in 2001, as Corrigan helped Marshall to a MAC East Division title, she was named the league’s first-team All-Conference second baseman and also received first-team All-Mideast Region honors from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. Corrigan also received All-MAC honors as a senior in 2002 and was recognized on the MAC Academic Honor Roll as a junior and again as a senior. She finished her career among the school’s all-time leader in at bats, hits and doubles as she helped Marshall to 102 wins during her career. Corrigan was inducted into the Marshall Athletic Hall of Fame in 2019.
