Sierra Davenport

One of the most versatile players in Marshall softball history, Sierra Davenport rewrote the school record book as both an outfielder and a pitcher and was honored as the 2004 Mid-American Conference Player of the Year. The Tucson, Ariz., native finished her career (2001-04) as Marshall’s all-time leader in several categories and still ranks high in the record book in batting average (.352), hits (235), runs (132) and stolen bases (130). As a pitcher, Davenport threw five career shutouts on the way to a 2.17 earned run average over 268 innings of work. Davenport was inducted into the Marshall Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
