Tara Lee
- Induction:
- 2009
- Class:
- 1999
When Tara Lee won the Mid-American Conference title in the 60-meter hurdles event in 1999, covering the distance in 8.58 seconds, she became the first Marshall track and field athlete to win a MAC title. Before her Thundering Herd career came to a close, the Proctorville, Ohio, native had run that same event in as little as 7.74 seconds, a record that stood for eight years. That was just one of five Marshall records that Lee held when her career came to a close, along with top marks in the 100-meter hurdles, the pole vault, the sprint medley relay and the shuttle-hurdle relay. Lee was inducted into the Marshall Athletic Hall of Fame in 2009.
