Streaking Western Michigan Visits Henderson Center Saturday Night

The hottest team in the Mid-American Conference invades the Cam Henderson Center Saturday for a 7:30 p.m. showdown with Marshall.
Western Michigan (8-2), off to its best start since 1991, is riding a four game winning streak into Saturday's meeting with the Thundering Herd.
The Broncos, using a stiffling defense, put togeother a solid non-conference season posting wins over Michigan, Auburn, Detroit and Virginia Tech. WMU is allowing less than 54 points per game and leads the nation in scoring defense.
Western?s two losses were by a combined eight points, the Broncos lost to Princeton 62-59 and at Miami 44-39.
Marshall (5-3) leads the all-time series between the two schools 28-15 and has recent history on its side. The Thundering Herd has won three straight and four of the five meetings since Marshall rejoined the MAC in 1997 and Western Michigan has not won in Huntington since downing the Herd 67-49 during the 1973-74 season.
