Marshall Meets Miami Saturday

Marshall travels to Oxford, Ohio, for a key Mid-American Conference contest Saturday. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on the Thundering Herd/ISP Sports Network (WSAZ-TV in Huntington/Charleston, W.Va.).

Marshall (11-10, 7-6 MAC) has won two straight and trails second-place Miami (9-11, 7-4 MAC) by one game in the MAC East standings. Marshall and Miami are also two of only five MAC schools that currently have better than .500 league marks.

The RedHawks feature a strong defense that allows only 60.6 points per game and are led by junior Juby Johnson who scores 15.3 points per game.

This will be the 69th all-time meeting between the two schools and Miami leads the series 43-26. Marshall is 10-24 all-time at Miami. The Thundering Herd has, however, won three of the last five meetings between the two.
