HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -Tre Whitted scored all 19 of his points in the second half to help Marshall rally from a 14-point deficit to beat Ohio 70-60 on Wednesday.

Whitted sealed the victory for the Thundering Herd (5-8) with a steal and outlet pass to Chris Ross.

Markel Humphrey scored 15 points and Ross added 10.

Bubba Walther led Ohio (9-4) with 18 points while Jerome Tillman added 16.

Ohio built a double-digit lead but could not overcome poor shooting down the stretch. The Bobcats had just five field goals in the final 13:40 as Marshall came back to record its second straight win.

Ohio took its biggest lead at 14 points on a basket by Tillman, but Marshall went on a 17-3 run over the next four minutes to tie the score at 46.

Whitted hit two 3-pointers during the run and nailed three more over the next two minutes to give Marshall a 57-51 lead.

Ohio jumped ahead in the first half as Marshall struggled from the floor. The Herd hit just two field goals in the first half's final seven minutes and missed eight of nine free throw attempts. Ohio led 35-23 at the break.
