MARSHALL UNIVERSITY STUDENT-ATHLETES CONDUCTING HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - Marshall University student-athletes will be collecting canned food items prior to Marshall home basketball games on Saturday, December 13 and Tuesday, December 16 as part of an initiative being sponsored by Conference USA.

C-USA has challenged the student-athletes at all 12 of its member institutions to conduct food drives for their local communitities. Marshall's student-athletes are asking fans to bring canned food items to the women's basketball game vs. Ohio at 3 p.m. and the men's basketball game with UT-Arlington at 7 p.m. on December 13 to help in the effort. MU athletes will also be collecting food at the women's basketball game vs. Houston Baptist on Tuesday, Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. All of the food collected will be donated to the Huntington Area Food Bank.
