The Marshall University men's basketball team will travel to Oklahoma on Saturday to take on the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricane in a Conference USA contest scheduled for 8:05 p.m. (ET).

Marshall (8-8 overall, 1-1 C-USA) and Tulsa (11-6 overall, 1-1 C-USA) will both be looking to bounce back from setbacks in their last outing. MU is coming off of a 87-76 loss to West Virginia on Wednesday, while Tulsa dropped a hard-fought 55-54 battle to Memphis at home on Tuesday.

Tulsa has won seven of its last nine games and is playing well. Antonio Anderson drove the floor and connected on a driving basket at the buzzer to lift Memphis to the win over the Tulsa, just seconds after Tulsa's Ben Uzoh hit two free throws to give the Golden Hurricane their first lead of the game with 4.5 seconds to play.

Tulsa's Jerome Jordan, a seven-foot junior center, scored 20 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked four shots in that contest, while Uzoh added 16 points and eight rebounds.

Jordan is averaging 12.9 points (shooting better than 60% from the floor) and 9.3 rebounds per game. Uzoh, a junior guard who earned second-team All C-USA honors a year ago, contributes a team-high 14.9 points and 3.6 assists per contest. Ray Reese, a senior forward chips in with 9.3 points per game and is second on the team with 39 assists.

The Thundering Herd has three players averaging in double figures scoring. Junior forward Tyler Wilkerson leads the team with 11.5 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Freshman guard Damier Pitts is averaging 10.9 points and four assists per game, while senior forward Markel Humphrey is scoring 10.1 points per outing.

Marshall and Tulsa have met five times with the home team winning each contest. The Golden Hurricane lead the series 3-2 and the two teams split games last season. Tulsa posted an 89-64 win over the Thundering Herd in Tulsa on March 1st of last year in the last meeting to avenge a 72-65 overtime loss at Marshall on Jan. 30.

Tulsa Head Coach Doug Wojcik is a Wheeling native and Marshall assistant coach Shawn Finney served as an assistant at Tulsa under Tubby Smith from 1991-95.
