Marshall Men's Basketball Signs Thieneman

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.-The Marshall men’s basketball program signed 6’5” shooter Christian Thieneman Wednesday on the first day of the early signing period.
Thieneman played guard for Louisville Trinity High School in Kentucky.
Trinity went 31-6 in 2013-14 and made the Sweet 16 of the Kentucky state tournament semifinals. He also played on the Louisville Prospects AAU team, which finished ninth in the AAU national tournament.
He averaged 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds for Trinity, while converting 53.2 percent of his field goal attempts.
The Herd will open its season on Friday when Jacksonville State enters the Henderson Center for a 7 p.m. tip. As part of the Marshall Student-Athlete Advisory Committee canned food drive, fans can get $5 off any available ticket by bringing a can of food to the game.
