Dan D'Antoni, head coach
On the Herd's shooting:
"Obviously we shot the ball better, and when you do that, it's funny how your defense picks up. We held one of the highest percentage teams in the country to 42 percent in the second half. When you're making shots, it flows to the other side."

On being proud of his players:
"The team you all saw is the team I see in practice. Happy for them, I think they gave Herd fans a great show, I hope they enjoyed it as an early Christmas present."

On the team's unselfish play:
"Ball movement was zipping. It's pretty; it's a great game. Twenty-four assists to 35 buckets is a great matchup, players shoot better when the ball is moving like that."

On his team's academics:
"We got an early return on grades, they're outstanding. We've got a good group of kids who are a great face for Marshall University."

Austin Loop, junior guard
On his high-scoring performance:
"It's just been waiting to happen. I think it was long overdue. I think people who have seen me shoot on a regular basis, they know I can shoot and my teammates know I can shoot, they kept faith in me."

On his teammates feeding him the ball:
"Every shot I got to give to them, because they're the ones passing it to me. I'm not really creating that myself. They're the ones to really take it."

On the team's shooting performance:
"All of us, the way we shoot the ball, I think that's the way coach wants us to play, at the speed we want to play. When we get shots we're tough to beat."

Ryan Taylor, junior forward
On the Herd's defensive performance:
"We knew the 3-point shot was a big part of their offense and they only made eight tonight. So our main goal is to run them off of the 3-point line. Other than that we ran our same defense, we never changed our defensive principals. Not even if there was a 'Jordan' or a 'Kobe' out there, we'd run the same defense."

On Austin Loop's shooting performance:
"When shots start falling, our offense is a lot open. The rows, the backs for the threes, everything. When we shoot 8-for-10 from the three that makes things a whole lot easier for everybody."

Stevie Browning, junior guard
On the team's pacing during the game:
"That's what we work on every day. We work on pushing the ball, first open shot take it. My man [Austin] Loop, he did that very well tonight, and I think he's going to do that well every night."
