Men's Basketball Announces Summer Camp Dates

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's basketball will host two youth camps, and a team camp over the summer months at the Cam Henderson Center, coach Dan D'Antoni announced Wednesday. Campers will have the opportunity to work alongside current and former Thundering Herd players and coaches.

Herd Camp will run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday, June 10^th, to Wednesday, June 12^th, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 13^th. An awards ceremony will conclude camp on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. The camp is open to ages 7-17, and costs $175. Lunch will be served Monday through Wednesday in an all-you-can-eat facility located on the Marshall University campus. Sibling discounts will be available. The cost of two campers is $330, while the cost for three is $465.

Little Herd Camp is for boys and girls ages 5 years old through 6^th grade, and costs $135. The camp will run 9 a.m. to noon from Monday, July 8, to Thursday, July 111. Campers will play games while learning the basic fundamentals of basketball, including ball handling, defense and shooting form. There is also a sibling discount for Little Herd Camp. The cost for two is $250, while the cost for three is $345. An awards ceremony will conclude camp on Thursday at 11:30 a.m.

An early registration period will be held through Monday, April 15 for both camps, where registrants will receive $10 off (doesn't apply for the sibling discount.) Each camp will also feature a concession stand, with plenty of food, drink, and snack options. The youth camps will once again feature "theme days." Campers with the best outfits each day will win prizes. The schedules are as follows:

Team camp is scheduled for June 20 & 21, and includes freshman, junior varsity, and varsity divisions. Middle school team shootout is scheduled for June 22, and includes junior varsity and varsity divisions. A high school team shootout is also scheduled for June 28, and is just like the team camp.
