Elmore, Burks Receive All-NABC Honors

The senior guards were named to the second-team of the 11th district by the NABC
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Marshall's Jon Elmore and C.J. Burks were named second-team all-National Association of Basketball Coaches in the 11th district on Thursday.
Elmore passed Skip Henderson for most points in program history on Tuesday in a first-round CIT victory over IUPUI. Elmore is averaging 20.3 points and 4.9 rebounds per game this season. The senior guard has a team-leading 176 assists, is second on the team with 59 steals and was named first-team all-Conference USA earlier this month.
Burks also made history Tuesday night as he entered the top five in points in program history. He is second on Marshall with 17.3 points and 91 assists this season. Burks was named third-team all-C-USA prior to the conference tournament.
The Herd returns to action on Tuesday against a TBD opponent in the quarterfinals of the CIT.
