Taylor Wins Conference USA Freshman of the Week

Corbin, Ky. native earns honor
DALLAS, Tx. – Marshall's Andrew Taylor has earned his third Conference USA Freshman of the Week honor, the league office announced on Sunday.
Taylor averaged 14 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in a pair of wins as the Herd closed out the regular season. Taylor recorded the first double-double of his career against FAU with 16 points and a career-high 10 rebounds as he also dished out four assists. His 16 points contributed to a season-high 94 for the Herd. He then posted a 12-point, five-assist performance at UTSA. He made 11-of-18 from the field this week and has scored 10 or more points in four straight games.
The sixth-seeded Thundering Herd (16-15) will face 11th-seeded UTEP (17-14) Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/9 a.m. CT in first-round action at the 2020 Conference USA Tournament in Frisco, Texas.
