Dias and Dolabella Named All-Americans

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall men's soccer stars Vitor Dias and Pedro Dolabella were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America teams, the organization announced. It is the second All-American honor for Dias and the first for Dolabella.

Dolabella was selected to the second team and Dias was named to the third team. It is the first time in program history that the Herd picked up multiple All-America honors in the same season. Milo Yosef was the first to be named an All-American, selected to the second team, in 2019. Dias was the second, and the first one named first team, in the spring of 2021. Dias also is the first player in team history to be honored more than once.

Dias and Dolabella were also named Senior CLASS Award Second Team All-Americans this week.

The two natives of Brasilia, Brazil helped the 2020 defending National Champions to stay ranked in the top 25 all season long. The Herd has now been ranked in 29-straight polls, including 15 in-a-row in the top 10, since first being ranked No. 21 back on Oct. 15, 2019. Dias (five) and Dolabella (10) combined for 15 of Marshall's 37 goals, eight for game-winners, and 11 assists this fall. Dolabella is the ninth player in team history to tally double-digit goals in a season.

Throughout their Herd careers, Dias and Dolabella combined to scored 37 goals, 31 assists and 105 total points. Marshall's record during the three seasons that the two All-Americans played together was an astounding 40-9-9 (.767) with three trips to the NCAA Tournament, back-to-back Conference USA Championships, and the 2020 College Cup National Championship.

Dias and Dolabella both earned C-USA Player of the Year and Offensive MVP awards with Dias picking up the double in the spring of 2021 and Dolabella earning both in the fall. They also shared the 2021 C-USA Midfielder of the Year honor and were First Team All-Conference selections.

Both players are at the MLS College Showcase, taking place in Cary, N.C., Dec. 10-12.
