Aislynn Hayes Named to 2024-25 Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team

Herd picked sixth in SBC Preseason Coaches Poll
NEW ORLEANS - Marshall women's basketball senior guard Aislynn Hayes was named to the 2024-25 Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference First Team by the league office Monday.
Hayes returns as a leader for the Herd after averaging 14.7 points per game last season with the conference champions, shooting 41.7 percent (8th in the SBC in 2023-24).Â
The Murfreesboro, Tenn. native is one of 10 returning players from last season's squad who have been tabbed sixth in the Preseason Coaches Poll under first-year Head Coach Juli Fulks.Â
"Aislynn is a remarkable player with an ability to impact the game on both ends of the court," Fulks said. "Her pre-season ranking as a first-team selection reflects her hard work and respect earned throughout the Sun Belt Conference. We're excited to watch her continual growth and leadership as we chase back-to-back Sun Belt titles."
The transfer guard scored double figures in 24 games last season, with 10 games with 20 or more points. Hayes made 65 3-pointers last year, second-most on the team. Throughout her career, Hayes has scored 1,301 points, (11.2 PPG), 480 rebounds (4.3 RPG), with 226 career assists.Â
