HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football's Nov. 8 contest against James Madison has been set for a Noon kickoff at Joan C. Edwards Stadium and will be shown on either ESPN2 or ESPNU, the Sun Belt announced on Monday.
The announcement for the annual '75' game comes in conjunction with the 12-day window for broadcast information, as determined through the Sun Belt Conference's television contract with ESPN.
The game's television network has been flexed by ESPN to the 6-day window and will be announced after this weekend's games.
The teams will be meeting for the sixth time in history with Marshall owning a 4-1 advantage in the all-time series.
Next week's meeting will also mark another national audience for a contest that has annually featured some of the Sun Belt East's top teams.
Last year, the two teams put on a show in Harrisonburg in a nationally-televised game with Marshall rallying from a 17-0 halftime deficit to earn a 35-33 double-overtime win that propelled the Herd into the 2024 Sun Belt Championship game.
They went on to defeat Louisiana for the 2024 Sun Belt Conference title.
Currently, both teams are within the top tier of the SBC East standings with Marshall sitting at 4-3 overall and 2-1 overall in the Sun Belt Conference.
Everyone is currently chasing James Madison, who is sitting at 6-1 overall and 4-0 in Sun Belt action heading into Tuesday's nationally-televised contest with Texas State.
The game also serves as Marshall's second straight nationally-televised event. Marshall plays at Coastal Carolina at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday in a game to be shown on ESPN2.
