Details surrounding the Herd’s Senior Day Game on Saturday

2025 Marshall Football Tickets 

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football returns to Joan C. Edwards Stadium for the final time in 2025 on Saturday when the Herd hosts Georgia Southern in a 1:30 p.m. matchup of teams seeking eligibility that also serves as the Herd's Senior Day contest. The matchup will be shown on ESPN+.

Game Day Timeline

Saturday, November 8th
7 a.m. – WAKE UP! IT'S GAME DAY – WEAR GREEN
7:30 a.m. – Parking Lots Opens; HerdZone Stadium 
Store Opens
11:10 a.m. – Thunderwalk and Fan Fest: We will be handing out a Golden Ticket for a chance to be the Kickoff Kid;  After Thunderwalk, head over to Fan Fest. This is your chance to grab some food, play on inflatables and more. Fan Fest is on the Marshall Rec Center field and is open to all and free to attend.
11:30 a.m.– Gates Open!
11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. – Two Buck Blitz
1:00 p.m. - Be in your seats for Senior Day festivities and introductions
1:21 p.m. - National Anthem performed by the Marching Thunder
1:27 p.m. – Marshall Football takes the field
1:32 p.m. – BEAT GEORGIA SOUTHERN!!

Promotions!

-          FREE POPCORN: As a "thank you" to fans for the incredible support this year, all fans can grab free popcorn from concession stands during the game.

-          Toy Drive: In partnership with Hoops Family Children's Hospital, fans can bring a new toy to the game and donate it to Hoops Family Children's Hospital. Any fan who donates a toy will receive a free ticket to the football game. (One free ticket per toy donated). The drop-off location for toys on gameday is the 'M' Club Pavilion, located next to Gate C on the Southwest side of Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

-          Free Admission for High School students: Any high school student is eligible to receive free admission into the game. They will need to fill out this form by clicking here. Students MUST enter the game through Gate F.

-          Youth Team/Group Discount: Any local youth team or group can E-mail herdtickets@marshall.edu for a special discounted group rate.

New Fan Experience Upgrades!
Marshall's commitment to a safe, fun event comes with several enhancements to its in-venue experience, including the following: an expanded concourse, local food trucks, grab-and-go concessions, fan experience and engagement areas, water refill stations.

-        Two Buck Blitz: For the first hour of gates being open at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, fans can enjoy $2 Hot Dogs, $2 Popcorn, $2 Fountain Beverages and a custom souvenir cup.

-        Food Trucks: Fans will notice food trucks stationed around Joan C. Edwards Stadium, including Food Truck Alley, located near Gate F at the southeast corner of the stadium

-        Grab 'n' Go concessions: Two (2) Simply To Go concession stands will feature healthier concession options for fans to choose from. There will also be a Green and White Bytes and Brews grab-and-go concession on the West concourse to provide a quick option for fan concession needs.

-        Water Refill stations: Fans are now permitted to bring in a sealed or empty clear plastic bottle to fill at available refill stations installed around the stadium.

-        Family Fun: Joey Stepp, a former Marshall Football player, is back at Gate C for family fun including magic and balloon animal making.

-        Photo Booth: NEW for 2025! Head over to section 119 and visit God's Eye Photography and Events. Take your photo to create a memory that will last a lifetime.

Senior Day!

Saturday's contest will serve as Senior Day for the 2025 Herd seniors who will be playing in their final game at Joan C. Edwards Stadium. The group of seniors is looking to get a win in their final regular season game, which would make them eligible for a bowl game, prolonging their Marshall career for a few more weeks. Pregame festivities to honor those seniors will begin at 1:00 p.m. – 30 minutes before kickoff.

FastPass

Fans looking to expedite entry into the stadium can now head over to the Fan Assistance Tent – located between Gates A and B North – beginning three hours before the game to get their ticket pre-scanned. If a person has NO BAGS and checks into the Fan Assistance table, you will be given a wristband that allows entry through Gate B North, which will limit wait times and the ticket-scanning process. Of note, parties with multiple people will need to have wristbands and no one will be able to have bags. Everyone within a party will have to check in to the Fan Assistant Table to receive a wristband.

Stadium Entry Points

When you arrive for Marshall games, there are five main entry points to Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

-      Gate A: Located on the northwest corner of the stadium; best for fans sitting in sections 100, 102, 104, 106 and 108.

-      Gate B North: Located on the west side of Joan C. Edwards Stadium; only permitted for sky suite ticket holders or FastPass fans.

-      Gate B South: Located on the west side of Joan C. Edwards Stadium; best for fans sitting in sections 110, 112, 114, 116 and 118.

-      Gate C: Located on the southwest corner of the stadium; best for fans in sections 120, 122, 124, 126, 128 and 130.

-      Gate D: Located on the northeast corner of the stadium; best for fans in sections 105, 107, 109 and 111.

-      Gate F: Located on the southeast corner of the stadium; best for fans in the Student Section and section 113.

HerdZone Team Store

The HerdZone Team Store will be open from Thursday to Saturday on home-game weeks during the 2025 season. Here is the schedule:

-      Thursday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

-      Friday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

-      Saturday (morning): 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

-      Saturday (afternoon): 11:30 a.m. to End of Game

For Saturday's early availability, fans will enter through the West Lot facing entrance. From 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the store will close to flip the entrances in the store. Once gates open at 11:30 a.m., fans will enter from inside the stadium concourse.

Thunderwalk: Thunderwalk starts in the West Lot at the lot entry gate on 20th Street, closest to Third Avenue, and continues through the parking lot toward Gate A and out to Third Avenue. Marshall Cheerleaders are giving away envelopes with ONE (1) containing a Golden Ticket and Wendy's will be handing out free biscuits as well. The lucky fan who receives the Golden Ticket will be the Kickoff Kid. Be sure to get there early! Thunderwalk starts at 11:10 a.m.!

Fan Fest: Fan Fest is located on the Rec Center field and opens at 11:10 a.m. Be sure to come out enjoy inflatables, magic, balloon animals and more.

Ticket Office: Still haven't purchased your tickets? You can do so 
HERE! The Marshall Ticket Office will open at Joan C. Edwards stadium beginning at 11:00 a.m. Ticket sales locations include: Gate A and Gate D Ticket booths. Fans needing assistance or picking up will call tickets can do so from the Fan Assistance Tent located on the West Side of Joan C. Edwards stadium near Gate A.

Stadium Seat Policy: As a reminder, stadium seats ARE permitted within Joan C. Edwards Stadium, provided they follow the following guidelines:

-      Max width: 16 inches

-      No arm rests

-      No cupholders or compartments

-      Cannot impede view or space of other fans

These guidelines are put in place to ensure that all patrons at Joan C. Edwards Stadium have the best possible experience. Thank you for your cooperation. Please see below for examples of what is permitted and what is not allowed. Please note that if you bring something that is not compliant with our seat policy, you will be asked to return it to your vehicle.

Clear Bag Policy: To enhance public safety and make stadium access more efficient, Marshall University Athletics enacted a Clear Bag Policy. Fans may bring in one (1) clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12" or a 1-gallon plastic storage bag. Fans are limited to one clear bag per person or a small clutch bag (no larger than 4.5" x 6.5") for privacy. For more information, click HERE.

Cashless: All vendors inside of Joan C. Edwards Stadium are cashless. This includes: ticket office, HerdZone Team Store, and all concession vendors.

No Re-Entry: As a reminder, fans will not be permitted to leave and re-enter without re-screening through security and a separate unscanned game ticket. This is part of the
'Safe To Stay With The Herd' initiative, which was implemented in July 2024.

No Smoking: Reminder: Marshall University is a tobacco-free campus, which includes Joan C. Edwards Stadium.

Parking: Single-game parking is available: (1) Third Avenue Parking Garage - $20
click here to purchase; (2) State Electric Parking Lot - $20 (All proceeds benefit the Marshall Cheerleading Program). NOTE: The old ACF lot is no longer available for game day parking.

Thunderclap: Don't forget the Thunderclap is back! After every Herd touchdown, be sure to get on your feet and participate in the Thunderclap!
