HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Saturday night. Under the lights. It's Gameday in Huntington.
Marshall Football returns to Joan C. Edwards Stadium as the Thundering Herd welcomes Coastal Carolina for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Saturday.
Herd fans are encouraged to make a full day of it, arrive early and be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. to experience the full pregame atmosphere as Marshall gets ready to Light Up The Joan.
Here's everything Herd fans need to know before heading to The Joan.
GAMEDAY TIMELINE
9 a.m. – Wake Up! It's Gameday in Huntington!
It's Saturday in Huntington! Wear your Kelly Green, get ready for a full day of tailgating and help turn Huntington green as the Herd prepares for a Saturday night showdown.
1 p.m. – Parking Lots & Team Store Open
Marshall Athletics parking lots open for tailgating, while the Marshall Team Store opens for fans looking to gear up before kickoff.
4:30 p.m. – Stadium Ticket Office Opens
The Joan C. Edwards Stadium Ticket Office opens 2.5 hours prior to kickoff.
4:40 p.m. – Thunder Walk & Fan Fest Open
Welcome the Thundering Herd to Joan C. Edwards Stadium during Thunder Walk before heading to Fan Fest for the final stretch of pregame festivities.
5 p.m. – Gates Open
Fans can begin entering Joan C. Edwards Stadium two hours prior to kickoff.
6:30 p.m. – Get Inside The Joan!
Don't wait until kickoff to head for the gates. Fans are encouraged to be inside the stadium and in their seats by 6:30 p.m. to experience the full pregame atmosphere and make sure they don't miss a moment.
6:45 p.m. – Marching Thunder Takes the Field
6:51 p.m. – National Anthem
6:58 p.m. – Marshall Football Takes the Field
7:02 p.m. – Beat Coastal Carolina!
LIGHT UP THE JOAN
The lights. The crowd. You won't want to miss it.
Saturday night football returns to Huntington as the Herd takes on Coastal Carolina under the lights at Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
Marshall's stadium lighting system will help create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere throughout the night, enhancing some of the biggest moments of the game.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:30 p.m. and ready to make some noise as Marshall gets ready to Light Up The Joan.
HERD STRONG
Saturday's game will celebrate Herd Strong as Marshall Athletics recognizes and supports those who have been impacted by cancer.
Herd fans are encouraged to wear green, wear pink or wear the color that means something to you. Fans can also wear a ribbon or pin with their Marshall Green to recognize the type of cancer that has impacted them, a family member, friend or someone they love.
Fans can stop by Fan Fest or the Marshall Athletics marketing table to pick up an "I Cheer For" sign and write the name of someone they are supporting.
Between the first and second quarters, fans throughout Joan C. Edwards Stadium will be asked to stand and proudly hold up their signs as the Marshall community comes together in support of everyone affected by cancer.
Whatever color you wear and whoever you cheer for, be proud to be Herd Strong.
HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS – FREE ADMISSION!
Marshall University is on Fall Break, so we need your help!
Local high school students can receive FREE admission to Saturday night's game against Coastal Carolina.
Students must complete the registration form to be eligible. Each registered student will receive a non-transferable digital ticket and tickets must be used by the student to whom they were issued.
Grab your friends, wear your Marshall Green and help bring the student-section energy to The Joan on Saturday night!

Fans can purchase a four-pack of tickets for just $50 – only $12.50 per ticket – for Saturday's matchup with Coastal Carolina.

THUNDER WALK
Fans are encouraged to welcome the Thundering Herd to Joan C. Edwards Stadium during the Thunder Walk at 4:40 p.m.
Thunder Walk begins in the West Lot at the 20th Street entrance closest to Third Avenue and continues toward Gate A and Third Avenue.
Get there early, line the route and give the Herd a loud Marshall welcome as the team arrives for Saturday night's game.
KICKOFF KID – BE AT THUNDER WALK!
One lucky young Herd fan will have the opportunity to take part in a once-in-a-lifetime Marshall Football experience on Saturday!
Be sure to attend Thunder Walk at 4:40 p.m. where one lucky kid will be selected to serve as the Kickoff Kid for Marshall vs. Coastal Carolina.
The Kickoff Kid will get the opportunity to come onto the field at Joan C. Edwards Stadium and retrieve the kickoff tee during the game.
Want your young Herd fan to have a chance? Get to Thunder Walk early, wear your Marshall Green and be ready when the Herd arrives!
FAN FEST
Marshall's Fan Fest opens at 4:40 p.m. on the Marshall Rec Center field and is free and open to everyone.
Fans can enjoy inflatables, family entertainment, food and more before heading into The Joan.
Fans attending Saturday's Herd Strong game can also stop by Fan Fest to pick up an "I Cheer For" sign to use during the in-game recognition between the first and second quarters.

Fans looking for affordable options can visit Stand 12, featuring family-friendly prices:

Stand 12 provides families and groups with an affordable way to enjoy their favorite gameday foods while cheering on the Herd.
Chick-fil-A
A fan favorite is available on both sides of Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Stop by Chick-fil-A during the game for another convenient concession option.
Dough Daddy's
Enjoy a Huntington favorite on gameday with Dough Daddy's available inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
Food Trucks
Fans can also check out the food trucks inside the stadium, bringing additional local flavors and options to The Joan.
Water Refill Stations
Water refill stations are available inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium. Fans are permitted to bring a sealed or empty clear plastic water bottle into the stadium.
PARKING
Marshall Athletics parking lots open at 1 p.m. for Saturday's game.
Fans without a season parking pass have single-game parking options available, including the Third Avenue Parking Garage for $20.
Fans are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy the full gameday experience and avoid traffic closer to kickoff.
TICKETS & GAMEDAY ASSISTANCE
The Joan C. Edwards Stadium Ticket Office opens at 4:30 p.m., 2.5 hours prior to kickoff.
Gameday ticket sales are available at Gate A and Gate D.
Fans needing assistance can also visit the Fan Assistance Tent near Gate A.
MOBILE TICKETING – TAP TO ENTER
Fans are reminded that Marshall Athletics utilizes Tap to Enter for mobile tickets.
Tickets will not display a QR code, and screenshots will not work for entry. Fans should have their tickets loaded and ready on their mobile device before arriving at the gates.
If someone in your party will be entering separately, make sure their ticket is transferred to their mobile device before arriving at the stadium.
BIG GREEN ROOM & BIG GREEN BUFFET
The Big Green Room is available exclusively to fans with Chairback tickets.
Eligible fans can enhance their gameday experience with the Big Green Buffet for $49.99 per person, featuring an all-you-can-eat buffet and select non-alcoholic beverages.
The buffet opens one hour prior to kickoff and remains available through the start of the third quarter.
CASHLESS STADIUM
Joan C. Edwards Stadium is a cashless venue.
The Ticket Office, Marshall Team Store and all concession locations accept cashless forms of payment. Fans are encouraged to plan accordingly before arriving at the stadium.
CLEAR BAG POLICY
Fans are reminded of Marshall Athletics' clear bag policy.
Approved bags include a clear bag no larger than 12" x 6" x 12", a one-gallon clear plastic storage bag or a small clutch no larger than 4.5" x 6.5".
Fans are encouraged to leave unnecessary bags and items at home to help expedite entry into the stadium.
STADIUM SEATS
Personal stadium seats are permitted inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium but must be no wider than 16 inches.
Seats may not include armrests, cupholders or compartments.
NO RE-ENTRY & NO SMOKING
Joan C. Edwards Stadium has a no re-entry policy. Once a ticket has been scanned for entry, fans who leave the stadium will not be permitted to re-enter using the same ticket.
Smoking is also prohibited inside Joan C. Edwards Stadium.
JOIN THE THUNDERCLAP
When the Herd finds the end zone, get ready to join one of Marshall Football's gameday traditions.
Following every Marshall touchdown, Herd fans are encouraged to join together for the Thunderclap and celebrate six points for the Green and White.
ARRIVE EARLY. BE LOUD. LIGHT UP THE JOAN.
Saturday is about more than just the 7 p.m. kickoff.
Start the day tailgating, welcome the Herd during Thunder Walk, enjoy Fan Fest and then head inside early for everything that makes a Saturday night at Joan C. Edwards Stadium special.
Be inside The Joan by 6:30 p.m.
At 6:45 p.m., the Marching Thunder takes the field. At 6:51 p.m., it's time for the National Anthem. At 6:58 p.m., the Herd takes the field.
Then, at 7:02 p.m., there's only one thing left to do:
Beat Coastal Carolina.
