Herd graduates celebrated at Wednesday’s Graduate Breakfast ceremony

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Athletics recognized 56 student-athletes who have wrapped up their degrees and will walk across the stage as part of the Spring 2026 graduating classic for Marshall University this weekend.

Those athletes, along with those projected to graduate in Summer 2026, received their graduation stoles at the 2026 Graduate Breakfast in the Big Green Room at Joan C. Edwards Stadium on Wednesday.

"On behalf of the entire Buck Harless staff, we are so proud to celebrate our graduating seniors!" said Kaylyn Torain, Marshall's Assistant Director of Athletics for Academic Services. "Their dedication to both academics and athletics is a testament to their hard work and perseverance. They have left a legacy of excellence while here at Marshall, and we're excited for what lies ahead for each of them. They will carry the Marshall tradition proudly with them in their futures."

These 56 student-athletes represent Marshall University's 18 different athletics programs. Football and Spirit – a combination of the Cheer and Dance programs – led the way with eight graduates each.

In addition to the 56 who will take part in commencement ceremonies this weekend, there are five more who will complete their degrees in Summer 2026. That adds to another 35 who graduated in Fall 2025 as well.

The 189th Marshall University Commencement Exercises are set for 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, at Marshall Health Network Arena.
