HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Football's third home game of the 2026 season will shine a spotlight on strength, resilience and community support as the Thundering Herd hosts Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Sat., Oct. 10, at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in the 'We Are ... Herd Strong' game.

Presented by Go Mart, the "We Are…Herd Strong" game theme serves as Marshall Athletics' annual cancer awareness initiative, celebrating survivors, honoring those who are currently battling cancer and remembering loved ones impacted by the disease. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as the Herd community comes together in support of this important cause.
Throughout the day, fans will have opportunities to participate in special activations recognizing cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals who make a difference in our communities every day.
The game will also feature several special ticket promotions, as it will also serve as Healthcare Providers Night, Youth Nation Night, and Faith & Family Night. Healthcare professionals from across the region will be recognized for their commitment to serving others, while Youth Nation athletes and local church groups will have opportunities to experience Marshall Football together at The Joan.
Fans can expect a variety of themed elements throughout the game, including special video board features, in-game recognition, and moments dedicated to sharing stories of courage, perseverance, and hope. One of the day's signature moments will be a special bell-ringing ceremony featuring a local cancer survivor who has completed treatment, symbolizing their victory over cancer, and serving as an inspiration to all in attendance.
As Marshall continues its 2026 season, the 'We Are…Herd Strong' game provides an opportunity for the Herd family to unite around a cause that impacts countless lives and demonstrate the strength of the Marshall community.
Additional game day information will be announced at a later date. Kickoff time for the contest will be announced as part of the Sun Belt Conference's 12-day window, which is in accordance with their television rights contract with ESPN.
Single-game tickets for the 2026 football season will go on sale July 15. Season tickets, as well as Mini Plans, are on sale NOW.
