Gwinn enters his sixth year as the Associate Athletic Director of Compliance at Marshall University.
In his 10th year in collegiate athletics, Gwinn oversees all aspects of the Thundering Herd compliance office. Gwinn works primarily with the MU football and men's basketball teams while developing and maintaining the institution's compliance with NCAA, Conference USA and Marshall's policies and procedures.
Prior to rejoining the Herd, he spent two years in the compliance office at Ohio University. During his time in Athens, Gwinn supervised the Ohio compliance operations for 20 varsity sports programs as Compliance Coordinator. He assumed the duties of the Bobcats' Associate Athletic Director for Compliance in November of 2006 and managed the compliance staff along with senior administrative duties of the athletic department. Gwinn served in that capacity before returning to Marshall in April of 2007.
Gwinn received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Marshall. He graduated Magna Cum Laude and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts in 2003. In 2005, he graduated with a Master's of Business Administration, while also serving as a Graduate Assistant in the MU Compliance Office.
He is a native of Pence Springs, W.Va. and currently resides in Barboursville.
