Joey Waugh was named an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Marshall in April of 2018. He is the Athletic Trainer for the Thundering Herd Baseball program.
Prior to joining the Sports Medicine staff at Marshall, Waugh was a Graduate Assistant at Southeast Missouri State University for two years. During his time at Southeast, he provided primary coverage for Football, Women’s Soccer and Spirit Squads. He also obtained his Master of Arts degree in Higher Education Administration.
Waugh earned Bachelor’s of Science degrees in both Athletic Training as well as Kinesiology and Health at Miami (OH) University in 2016. While at Miami, he worked with the Football, Baseball, Men’s Basketball, Track and Field programs as well as an area high school. Waugh also completed an internship with the Miami University Football program in 2015.
Joey is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a native of Huntington, West Virginia.
