2021-22 (REDSHIRT JUNIOR)

33/33 … One of two players to play in all 33 games for Marshall, only member of the Herd to start in every game…Played over 1,100 minutes throughout the season… Averaged 14.2 points per game…Made team-leading 65 three-point field goals, team leader in points as well (468)....Team’s leader in assists (145)...73 percent free throw shooter…Collected six 20+ point games, including a season-best 28 point performance at Charlotte.

2020-21 (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE)
One of two Thundering Herd men’s basketball players to play and start all 22 games during the season…one of three Marshall men’s basketball players to average over 10 points with 12 points per game during the season…closed the season second on the team in rebounding with 5.8 boards and 33 steals…scored 10 or more points in 11 of the team’s 14 Conference USA games…had three games of 20 or more points with 20 at FIU (Jan. 23), 20 points against North Texas (Feb. 27) and a season-high 21 points against Charlotte (Mar. 6)…recorded two double-doubles with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Louisiana Tech (Jan. 2) and 16 points and 10 rebounds against FIU (Jan. 22)…tied season-high 10 boards against Ohio (Dec. 13)…had a season-high six steals against North Teas (Feb. 27)...three games with a season-high nine assists against Louisiana Tech (Jan. 2), Western Kentucky (Jan. 15) and Middle Tennessee (Feb. 13).

HIGH SCHOOL: Played five seasons at Corbin High School in Corbin, Ky., for head coach Tony Pietrowski…averaged 26 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists per game…three-time 13th-region player of the year, three-time district player of the year, two-time S.E.K.C player of the year and Mr. Kentucky finalist…exited high school third all-time in scoring in Kentucky.
 
PERSONAL: Born June 23, 1999…son of David and Kelda Taylor…has two older sister, Lindsay Johnson, an two older brothers, Madison Johnson and Samuel, and a younger brother, Matthew…lists his favorite athlete as former Los Angeles guard Kobe Bryant…favorite professional sports team is the Los Angeles Lakers…enjoys swimming and camping in his free time…Majoring in Exercise Science.
