2017-18 (FRESHMAN): Earned the Charles Slack “Tough Man’ Award given by the coaching staff … one of two players (Jon Elmore) to play in all 36 contests, while he made 35 starts … No. 72 in the nation in total steals (57) … led the team in 3-point field goal percentage (41.2 percent) … one of the team’s leaders in points per game (7.8), assists (106), field goals (93), field goal attempts (216), 3-pointers (63), 3-point field goal attempts (153) and steals … hit 63 3-pointers, tied for the third-most by a Herd freshman all-time … West’s 57 steals were the most ever by a Marshall freshman … in his collegiate debut vs. Tennessee at Martin (Nov. 10), he scored 10 points and dished out five assists … made five steals, scored eight points and pulled down three rebounds at Morehead State (Nov. 16) … collected a season-high 23 points at Illinois (Nov. 19) … reached 11 points from 4-of-7 FGs and 3-of-6 3-pointers, while he pulled down three rebounds collected five assists vs. N.C.
