Brock McKirgan currently serves as the Chief of Staff for Marshall Football, a role he assumed in January 2025 following his departure from NC State alongside Coach Tony Gibson. McKirgan brings a wealth of experience in football operations, organizational leadership, and program management.
McKirgan began his career at NC State in 2018, joining the Wolfpack football program’s operations staff. His strong work ethic and attention to detail earned him a promotion to Assistant Director of Football Operations in 2021. Just a year later, in 2022, he rose to the position of Director of Football Operations, overseeing day-to-day team logistics, travel, scheduling, and program coordination.
During his tenure at NC State, McKirgan played a key role in supporting the program’s competitive success and operational efficiency. His leadership and behind-the-scenes contributions helped shape a strong team culture and smooth execution both on and off the field.
In his current role at Marshall, McKirgan continues to bring his strategic vision and operational expertise to the forefront of program development under Coach Gibson's leadership.
