Teddy Kluemper III was named as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development and Executive Director of the Big Green Scholarship Foundation by VP/Director of Athletics Gerald J. Harrison in August 2025.

Kluemper, a 15-year veteran of Marshall Athletics, moved into the elevated role after serving as an interim in previous months, replacing John Sutherland, who retired earlier this year.

The Huntington native will also serve as a liaison to the ThunderTrust - Marshall's NIL Collective.

In addition to these roles, Kluemper will continue to cultivate powerful relationships to forge Marshall Athletics ahead through endowments while also serving to enhance the experience of Marshall alumni and their connection with Marshall Athletics through signature events and premium space opportunities.

Kluemper is also responsible for the procurement of Capital and Major Gifts, which have had a generational impact on athletics facilities upgrades and the student-athlete experience.

Some of the historic ventures occurring for Marshall Athletics during Kluemper’s tenure include the construction of the Shewey Athletic Building Deck at Joan C. Edwards Stadium (opening Fall 2025), the construction of Jack Cook Field – Marshall’s state-of-the-art on-campus baseball facility which opened in 2024 and the multi-faceted Vision Campaign which brought the Chris Cline Indoor Athletic Complex and Hoops Family Field into existence, along with the Marshall Athletics Hall of Fame and the Marshall Sports Medicine Institute in 2014.

In addition to oversight of the Big Green, Kluemper also oversees the Big Green Courtesy Car Program, Premium seating and parking for ticketed sports and other various revenue generation opportunities.

Prior to joining the Marshall family, Kluemper spent nine years with Habitat for Humanity of the Tri-State in several different capacities, including Director of Resource Development and Executive Director.

Born and raised in Huntington, Kluemper obtained his B.A. in Public Relations from Marshall in 2002 and received his Master’s Degree in Communications Studies from Marshall in 2005. He also received a certificate in non-profit management from the Indiana University School of Philanthropy.

Kluemper and his wife, Molly, have three amazing children: Sophie, Lucy and Vincent.
