Marshall Tennis Advances to MAC Semifinals

Kalamazoo, MI - The Marshall University women's tennis team advaced to the semifinal round of the Mid-American Conference Women's Tennis Tournament. The Thundering Herd defeated the Toledo Rockets, 4-0 at the Western Michigan courts.
Marshall is the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will either face No. 4 seed Miami or No. 5 seed Eastern Michigan Saturday, April 29th at 10 a.m, in the semifinals.
"This was a good win," said Head Coach Laurie Mercer. "We got the tournament started on the right foot. Hopefully, we will be able to keep it up. Regardless of who we play tomorrow, it is going to be a difficult challenge."
The Herd improved to 19-6 overall with today's victory. Toledo fell to 6-12.
