Tennis Team Split Weekend Matches

The Marshall women?s tennis team split two matches this weekend in Houston, TX.
The University of Houston defeated the Herd, 5-2. Houston started the match off by winning two of the three doubles matches and claiming the doubles point, then defeated the Herd in four singles matches.
On Saturday, Marshall downed Rice Univeristy in a 5-2 decision at Jake Hess Tennis Stadium. The Herd claimed the doubles point and then won four of six singles matches.
Marshall?s Ana Ceretto (Senior from Rosario, Argentina) was the only member of the team to have a perfect weekend. Ceretto was 2-0 in singels and she and teammate Anna Mitina (Junior from Sochi Russia) claimed both singles matches.
The Herd is now 6-4 on the season and will return to action when they travel to Harrsionburg, Va on Friday to compete against James Madison University.
