Marshall Set to Host Eastern Michigan

Marshall University's men's basketball team will play host to Eastern Michigan Saturday. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. The game will be a homecoming of sorts for four members of the Eastern Michigan Basketball program.

The Thundering Herd (7-6 overall, 2-2 MAC) will be looking for its third conference win of the year when EMU invades the Henderson Center Saturday.

The Eagles (5-10, 1-3 MAC) are led by Poca native Ricky Cottrill. The sophomore shooting guard leads EMU and ranks fifth in the MAC in scoring with 19.1 points per game. The Eagles also feature freshman point guard and Beckley native Michael Ross. Ross leads the team with 52 assists.

Eastern Michigan is coached by Winfield native Jim Boone and Parkersburg native Glen Gutierrez serves as one of his assistants.
