11/15/2002
Huntington, W.Va.--2002 Street & Smith All-American Rashida Suber of Reading, Pennsylvannia, has signed a National Letter of Intent with coach Royce Chadwick and the Marshall Thundering Herd. Suber averaged 21.2 points and five assists per game last year for Reading High School.
?Rashida is an unbelievable talent with outstanding ball-handling abilities who can set the table and score,? said Marshall coach Royce Chadwick. ?She has the chance to become one of the best players in the Mid-American Conference.?
Suber?s accolades have piled up throughout her high school career. She was a third team all-state selection in 2002, while also being named to the All-Berks County Team her junior season. She participated in Nike?s All-America Camp in 2001, and currently stands second all-time at Reading High School in scoring with over 1,500 points. She is the daughter of Greg and Robin Suber.
Earlier this week, coach Chadwick and his staff signed 6?0 guard Kashawna Curry from Huntington, W.Va., 5?3 point guard Teyonka Hodge from Washington, D.C., 6?1 post player Kellie Jo Moore from Pilgrim, Ky., and Jameka White, a 5?10 guard/forward from Washington, D.C.
