Ilderton named program’s Assistant Director of Operations

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Women's Basketball Head Coach Juli Fulks announced the addition of 2026 program alumnus Peyton Ilderton to the Thundering Herd coaching staff.

Ilderton has been named the team's Assistant Director of Basketball Operations while Brianna Ellis who held the role for the 2025-26 season, has been elevated to Director of Basketball Operations.

"Peyton has been an incredible representative of Marshall Women's Basketball throughout her four years as a student-athlete," Coach Fulks said. "She understands our culture, our standards and what it means to wear the Marshall uniform. We are excited to see the impact she will continue to have on our program!"

The Logan native graduated this year with a B.A. in Communication Studies, earning CSC Academic All-District honors in the process. The four-year letterwinner was a Kay Yow Servant Award Leader throughout the 2025-26 season, a prestigious honor given to just 62 athletes across the country.

"I'm so excited for this opportunity and to continue to work for this school that I love with the most amazing people," said Ilderton.

As a senior, Ilderton made 82 3-pointers, 4th most in a single-season in program history. Her 131 triples across the last four years in Huntington is also Top-10 in team history (T-9th).

Originally a walk-on athlete for the Herd, Ilderton earned an athletic scholarship midway through her freshman year and will now continue to play a role in the program's success after 121 appearances suiting up for the Thundering Herd - one of the most tenured athletes in Marshall Women's Basketball history.
