Marshall Women Take On ACC Foe Wake Forest Tuesday

The Marshall women?s basketball team enters the teeth of their non-conference schedule Tuesday night when they take on the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Marshall is 2-0 after winning the Fifth Third Bank MU Classic over the weekend, while the Demon Deacons enter Tuesday?s contest at the Lawrence Joel Coliseum with a 1-1 record.
Wake Forest defeated LaSalle, 87-71, Friday night in a tournament at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The Deacs lost to the host Mustangs, 83-71, in the championship of the tournament on Saturday evening. Eafton Hill leads Wake Forest, averaging 23 points per game.
MU, who holds a 1-0 series lead over the Demon Deacons, head on the road for the first time this season. Senior center Amy Reed and senior guard Ida Dotson lead the Thundering Herd into Tuesday night?s contest. Reed averages 17.0 points per game, while Dotson contributes 12 points per game. Both Reed and Dotson were named to the all-tournament team this weekend.
