Women?s Basketball Takes On Eastern Kentucky Sunday

Huntington, W. Va.--The Marshall University women?s basketball team takes on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels tomorrow afternoon in the Henderson Center at 3 p.m. The Thundering Herd enter the game with a 2-1 record, while EKU comes in at 2-2.
The Thundering Herd are coming off a 67-56 loss at Wake Forest on Tuesday night. MU committed 28 turnovers, compared to the Demon Deacons? 15, in what turned out to be the deciding statistic in the game. MU outrebounded and outshot Wake Forest, but were doomed by the turnovers.
EKU returns from Alaska where they participated in the Great Alaska Shootout. The Colonels went 0-2, with losses to Indiana and host Alaska-Anchorage. Junior guard Katie Kelly leads EKU into Sunday?s contest, averaging 17 points and six rebounds per game.
Sunday is the Herd?s last game in the Henderson Center until a December 30th game against Shepherd College.
