Marshall Women Face Miami Saturday

The Marshall women's basketball team (6-13, 2-6) look to build on Wednesday's victory over the Akron Zips, when they take on the Miami Redhawks (11-9, 5-4) Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in the Henderson Center.
The Redhawks enter the Henderson Center having lost four games in a row, including a recent 70-59 defeat at the hands of the Ball State Cardinals on Wednesday. Miami is led by guard Heather Cusick, who leads the MAC in scoring, averaging 17.5 points per game. Cusick is also second in the conference in assists, dishing out nearly six (5.85) per game.
Marshall is looking to win two in a row for the first time all season in their first outing at the Henderson Center since a 59-39 loss to Kent State on January 19th. Ida Dotson leads the Herd on the offensive end, averaging 13.7 points per game. Senior Au'Yana Ferguson, who is within 33 rebounds of cracking the top ten on the all-time rebounding list at Marshall, leads MU on the glass, averaging 7.7 rebounds a game.
