RICHMOND, Va. - The Marshall University women's tennis team defeated the University of Richmond Friday afternoon, 6-1, at the UR Tennis Complex.
The Herd picked up wins at all three doubles matches to take the 1-0 lead on the spiders. Marshall then claimed five of six singles matches to win.
The Herd now 13-6 overall, 4-1 MAC will continue play tomorrow when they travel to Norfolk to take on Old Dominion. Marshall will also be at home Wednesday, March 10, when they play host to Virginia Tech. The match is slated for 2:00 pm and will be held at the Marshall University tennis courts, behind the Henderson Center.
