MAC East Division Lead on the Line Saturday at Kent

First place in the Mid-American Conference East Division will be on the line when Marshall University travels to Kent, Ohio, to battle defending MAC Champion Kent State University Saturday.

Marshall (8-4 overall, 4-1 MAC) holds a 1/2 game lead over Kent State (10-2 overall, 3-1 MAC) heading into the contest. The Thundering Herd is coming off of its only MAC loss of the season, an 81-78 setback to Central Michigan on Tuesday, while Kent State enters the contest having narrowly escaped Buffalo with a last-second 69-68 road win.

Kent State is led by All-MAC forward Antonio Gates who averages 21.3 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
