Marshall Swimming and Diving to Make Home Debut
1/17/2003
HUNTINGTON, W. Va. -- The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team will host its first meet on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the newly renovated Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium versus Mid-American Conference foe Ball State at 2 p.m.
Marshall (4-3, 0-2 MAC) is fresh off its Florida training session in early January, part of which took place at the Islamorada Invitational against Southeastern Conference and Conference USA competition, among others.
Ball State (10-1, 2-1 MAC) travels to Huntington to take on a Marshall team whose last official meet was on Nov. 16, when it swept a four-way meet at Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. The Cardinals finished in sixth place in the MAC in 2001-02.
Admission to the Saturday afternoon tilt is free.
