Herd Swim Squad Ready for MAC Test on Saturday

HUNTINGTON, W. Va. -- The Marshall women's swimming and diving team resumes its Mid-American Conference schedule on Saturday in Toledo, Ohio, versus the host Rockets and the Bulls of Buffalo at 1 p.m at the Student Recreation Center Pool.

Marshall is still looking to secure its first MAC victory in school history and has ample opportunity to do so with Saturday's meet, plus another MAC tri-meet on Feb. 8, versus Bowling Green and Akron. Bowling Green is still winless in the MAC, while Toledo, Buffalo and Akron have only four combined conference victories thus far in the season.

The Thundering Herd (5-5, 0-4 MAC) has gone 1-2 over its last three dual meets, all of which were held in Marshall's Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium. Marshall downed Radford by 10 points on Jan. 25, to record the team's first home victory since the program was reborn this season.
