Marshall Basketball Travels to Buffalo

Marshall has a chance to move to 3-0 in Mid-American Conference play for the first time since rejoining the league in 1997 when it travels to the University at Buffalo for a 7:00 p.m. MAC contest Wednesday.
In fact, Marshall has only started 3-0 in MAC play once in its 21 years in the MAC (Marshall was a member of the MAC from 1953 to 1969) and that was in 1959-60. Not even Marshall?s 1955-56 MAC Champion squad accomplished that feat and no Marshall team has ever started 4-0 in the MAC.
The Herd (6-3, 2-0) is coming off of an impressive 66-54 win at home over Western Michigan, and Buffalo (3-7, 0-1) returns home after dropping three straight close road games at Canisius, Northwestern, and Penn State.
UB has not played a home game since Dec. 11 of last year and has played five of their last six games on the road. The Bulls have won three straight at home and swept Marshall last season.
