Marshall University Athletics
The Marshall champions, advisory board is comprised of our champion members with the goal of driving visions to create championships.Â
Marshall University is a special place filled with pride and enthusiasm. The dedication our fans express for our sports programs is unlike any other. We not only pull together as a community, but as sons and daughters of Marshall who care deeply about our traditions and core values. As an athletics department, we house first-class student-athletes, dedicated coaches and transformational leaders. The passion that drives our community drives us to reach new heights that will provide our student-athletes with the best possible experience.Â
To augment our athletic department, CAB is designed to bring indispensable individuals together to help us, evaluate as a team, ways to further enhance our department, programs, and overall student athlete experience. In my time as athletic Director at Marshall, I have had the opportunity to encounter, and fill the impact that Marshall athletics has on our campus, community, and region. People take the time to stop and talk about Marshall, being a part of their family, and what they believe will make us better. CAB is giving us the opportunity to engage with these ideas and put them into action, with CAB at the forefront of those discussions and decisions. Marshall is passion driven.Â
Our student athletes, our community, our coaches all find passion, in what is going on right here, right now, at our university. CAB is going to take us to the next level by directly involving alumni, parents, philanthropist, former student athletes, and leaders. As a board, we will drive visions that will create championships. We are, Marshall! Let’s go, Herd!Â
Mission statement: The mission of the Champions Advisory Board is to positively enhance the experience of our student athletes by providing additional resources, while impacting our beautiful campus and augmenting our facility.Â
