Moving On Up: Marshall Tennis Tandem Advances

PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Marshall doubles team Jessica Johnson (Sewickly, Pa.) and Ashley Kroh (Louisville, Ky.) continued their improbable run at the Riviera/ITA All-American Championships with a 5-3 win after the Clemson team of Daniela Alvarez and Alix Lacelarie retired due to injury.

This marks the first time a Marshall or Mid-American Conference doubles team has advanced this far in the prestigious fall tournament.

Next up for the Thundering Herd is UCLA and the team of Jackie Carleton and Lauren Fisher. Fisher is a familiar opponent for Johnson - they played together as juniors and were ranked #2 in the country.
