Herd Swimming to Face MAC Opponents

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The Marshall University women's swimming and diving team will play host to Mid-American Conference opponent Buffalo Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. Action continues Saturday at noon when conference foe Akron enters the Frederick A. Fitch Natatorium.
Marshall (2-1, 1-1 MAC) defeated Eastern Michigan on Nov. 1 to capture the Herd's first ever MAC win. The team set several new Marshall records including 200-yard free relay (1:39.01), the 200-yard medley relay (1:50.43) and the 400-yard medley relay (3:59.98). Sophomore Milla Kuurto (Lohja, Finland) set a new school record in the 400-yard IM (4:33.58).
Buffalo enters the weekend with a 2-1 overall (1-1 MAC) record. The Bulls defeated MU last season 186-94.
Akron brings a 3-2 overall record (1-1 MAC). The Zips defeated MU last season 203-91.
